Chocolate Pops

My daughter loves Pokemon and attends a weekly tournament club. She wanted to bring a special treat, so we made molded chocolate Pikachu pops!

How to:

1
I bought this plastic candy mold online, but you can also find a variety in the cake decorating section of craft stores. Pick up a couple of squeeze bottles from this area too. You’ll also need chocolate melting wafers, which come in a variety of colors.

2
Melt the wafers according to the package directions. I just melt mine in the microwave. I like to do small amounts at a time so it doesn’t harden before I can use it.

3
You’ll want to fill the detail areas first. Add the colored chocolate to a squeeze bottle and carefully apply it to the areas that you want to have accent color. Let these areas harden in the fridge before adding another color on top of it to minimize spreading and blending.

4
Pour the main color to fill the rest of the mold, and press in the lollipop stick, covering the top of the stick completely. Let cool in the fridge. They should pop out easily when they’re completely cooled.

5
Cover the pop with a small plastic bag and tie with curling ribbon. Use scissors to curl the ends of the ribbon.
