Thread Spool Pulls

Vintage thread spools can easily be turned into eclectic drawer pulls.

How to:

1
Begin by removing the old handles or drawer pulls. You may need to patch the holes with wood putty and touch-up paint if the placement won’t work for your new pulls.

2
I picked up a big bag of vintage wooden thread spools from a secondhand store. Purchase bolts that are long enough to go through the thread spool and door. Make sure that the head is wide enough that it won’t slip through when tugged.

3
Screw the bolt through the spool and door.

4
Add the coordinating nut to the end of the bolt on the other side of the door.

The spools look great! I used old spools to give my DVD-Blue Ray player some “legs”. Works perfectly and looks great!
