Painted Pine Cone Bunting

Paint and twine are a perfect pairing for a pine cone bunting.

How to:

My sister-in-law created this lovely painted pine cone bunting. It’s so simple and fresh, as well as inexpensive and easy to make!

1
Go on a nature walk and collect one or two dozen pine cones, depending on how long you want your bunting to be.

2
Use a paint brush to dab acrylic paint on the tips of the pine cones. She used metallic gold, which adds a pretty bit of shimmer. Allow to dry.

3
Cut a long piece of standard twine. Hot glue the pine cones to the twine, spacing them about six inches apart.

4
Hang the bunting by tying to nails or pushpins.
