Letter Collection

It’s no secret that I love letters! I think their lines are beautiful, and the limitless variations fascinate me. I love how a single monogram can represent something larger. Letters can be combined in endless variations to create words, quotes, and stories… letters are powerful!

So it’s no surprise that I collect letters! I found this vintage type tray at a flea market for $15, and have been slowly filling it with wooden letterpress blocks.

I haven’t had any luck finding letters locally, so I buy them from eBay. You can buy sets or single letters. The set in this photo cost around $30 total.

I also have a kitchen wall that will be filled with letters someday! Some of the letters I’ve found in retail stores, like this metal A from Tuesday Morning ($8) or the marquee M from Ross ($12).

Others are salvage letters from old signs, and those are my favorite! Etsy is a good place to find these.

This Q was $4.50 and came from a berry farm that went out of business. I love it when I know the history of an item!

I never spend more than $12 on any letter, because I like the excitement of finding something special at a good price.

Books! I’m starting to try and get my crafting/library room together and letters like that would really tie it all in really well! Thanks for the ideas :)
