Mimic water droplets with careful colored pencil shading.
How to:

I lightly sketched out my design with pencil first.

I colored the water droplets next, shading darkly on the left. Leave white areas where the light would hit.
3
I then colored the word INK in red. Shade very lightly where the water droplets overlap.
