Applique Tee

A no-sew applique tee shirt refashion.

How to:
made with
cotton fabric scraps
double-sided fusible webbing (Wonder Under)
old tee shirt

1
Begin by printing off a picture that fils the entire page.

2
Put the picture behind the Wonder Under. The smooth side of the Wonder Under should be face up. Trace around the outline of the image. It will be easier if you group items that are the same color together.

3
Use your computer to print off the Pokemon’s name. Printing the text as a mirror image will save you some time, but here’s what to do if that isn’t an option. Cut out each letter individually. lay the letters face down the the smooth side of the Wonder Under. Your word should be written backwards.

4
Iron all fabrics. Lay out Wonder Under with writing face-down. The rough side of the Wonder Under should be face up. Place the coordinating fabric face-up on top and iron thoroughly. Repeat with remaning templates and fabrics. Cut out all fabric shapes.

5
Peel the paper backing from the shapes. It should feel smooth and waxy. If it feels fuzzy, iron again.

6
Iron the t shirt.

7
Reassemble the fabric pieces on top of the t shirt.

8
Iron the image thoroughly to adhere. Cut out the fabric letters and adhere in the same way.
