For this piece, I created my design digitally first in Adobe Illustrator. I reversed the image and printed it on the back of a green sheet of paper. I then cut out the inked areas.

When creating your design, make sure that there are no “islands.” That is, every element needs to be connected to something else, or it will get cut away.

These are lyrics from a song called “Kansas City.” Lyrics make great lettering pieces!
