This is a simple pocket card with a tag for journaling. These cards are perfect for using up the scraps that are left when you trim a 12×12 paper down to 8 1/2 x 11.
Supplies:
- cardstock (white and green)
- patterned paper (Scenic Route)
- ribbon
- heart brad
- chipboard phrase
- stitch stickers
- black ink
- circle punch
How To:
Use a 4 x 9 strip of green cardstock. Fold the bottom up to about 1 inch below the top. Use your circle punch to make a half circle in the middle of front. Use black ink to distress all edges.
Apply adhesive along the edges (not the top) of the folded flap. Press closed. Now make your tag to fit your pocket, about 4.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. You can punch or trim the corners if you’d like it shaped. Distress the tag. Punch a hole in the middle of the top of your tag, and add a ribbon and a heart brad. Embellish the top and bottom of the tag with strips of patterned paper.
Add a 3×4 strip of patterned paper to the front of your card. Apply sticker stitches to top and bottom of paper. Trim two pieces of ribbon to 2 inches each, fold in half to make a V, and adhere one to each side of chipboard phrase. Adhere chipboard to center of card.
