All-You-Can-Ship on Holiday Decor

Sweeten up a plain shelf with a charming scalloped edge! It only cost $3.50 to dress up this bookshelf.

Supplies:

  • Wood filler strip
  • Paint & brush
  • Handsaw or table saw
  • Finishing nails

How To:

1) Purchase a wood filler strip from a home improvement store. These are traditionally used for installing corrugated roofing, so you’ll find them by the roofing supplies. An 8-foot segment cost me $3.50 at Lowe’s.

2) Measure your shelf. Cut wood strips to size.

3) Paint the strips to match your shelf, or paint them a contrasting shade for a more eclectic look.

4) Add to the bottom of the shelf with small finishing nails.
