All aboard! This cute little circus caddy is sold by Kaiser Craft, and comes ready to decorate. Use it to store markers and crayons in your little one’s room… or make stick puppet circus friends who are always ready to play!
Supplies:
- Train Tidy by Kaiser Craft
- 4 binder rings
- Patterned paper
- Animal punch outs
- Circle punches
- Cardstock
How To:
You’ll need to separate the individual pieces for the train, then cut or sand down the tabs that connected them. If you’d like the edges to be a different color, you can add a coat of acrylic paint. I didn’t mind having mine the tan color, so I left them as is.
Next, trace the shapes onto patterned paper and cut out. Adhere to one side of each piece, then make the slits where the holes are. Then cover the other side. (I didn’t make slits on the outside paper.)
Use a large and medium circle punch to make the wheels from cardstock. Use paper strips to decorate the sides of the cars.
Assemble the train by inserting the tabs into the slits. I used a little hot glue for extra durability.
I laminated a sheet of animal punch-outs, then taped on popsicle sticks to make little puppets for my kids to role play with.
