For my Grandmother’s 80th birthday, 80 cards will be collected and placed in this keepsake box…
Supplies:
- Wooden box
- Scrapbook paper
- Keys
- Rub ons
- Paper title
- Chipboard letters
- Prima flowers
- Butterflies
- Acrylic paint (brown, blue, yellow)
- Black ink pad
- Mod Podge
- Envirotex
- Foam brushes
- Mixing cups
How To:
Begin by painting the edges of your box with acrylic paint. You can layer paint colors if you wish. Paint the inside of the box as well. Allow to dry.
Cut scrapbook paper to fit the top of the box. Adhere with a light coat of Mod Podge, smoothing out any bubbles. Allow to dry.
Make a collage on top of your box. Adhere paper embellishments with Mod Podge. Keep other embellishments in place with glue dots.
Mix 4 oz of Envirotex according to package directions. Pour, smooth, and wait. If air bubbles appear, you can pop them by holding a lighter near the bubbles. Allow three days to harden.
Cut scrapbook paper to fit the sides of your box, and adhere with Mod Podge. Use the ink pad to distress the edges of the box. Coat box with a sealing layer of Mod Podge.
